My four-week internship as a journalist at The Korea Herald is almost up. I’m in Seoul as a 2012 fellow of the Australia-Korea Foundation, a body of the Australian Government. I’ve kept myself busy writing stories for the culture desk and am proud of how many musical-related stories I packed into the paper. You can read my work on my blog for The University of Sydney here. Korea has a strong musical culture and a vibrant arts community. If it wasn’t for the language barrier, I could see myself working longer in Seoul. It’s almost time to head home to Sydney and start poking my head into the professional musical theatre scene. In the meantime, I’m off to eat delicious Korean BBQ. Yum!
